Khalis Hicks!

Khalis plays for the West Chester Outlaws second grade team. The team lost their season opener against Hamilton 22-0 on August 25.  The game summary stated,

The offensive line of Eric Wills, Isaiah Payton, Noah Theodore, Alahn McGray, Michael Wagner, Kelin Wajert, Jaylen Hunter, Kaedence Sensano, Julian Simpson, Gavin Reeder powered the ground attack provided by Khalis Hicks (65 yds), Chico Robinson (28 yds), Payton Sayers (10 yds) and Michael Wagner (five yds).

The defense created ten tackles for loss, provided by: Kaedence Sensano and Khalis Hicks, three each; Chico Robinson, two; and Julian Simpson and Payton Sawyers, one each. Other defensive contributors were Noah Theodore with four solo tackles and Julian Simpson and Chico Robinson with two solo tackles each.

Khalis moved from quarterback to running back in the third game of the season on September 15.  The Outlaws win 28-8. The game summary stated,

Hard work and determination propel Outlaws to first win of season. In the process they set a single game record with over 280 yards of total offense and 12 tackles for loss. Chico Robinson led the ground attack with 223 yards rushing and scored two first half touchdowns on runs of 47 and 23 yards behind great blocking of Hunter Bagley, Jaylen Hunter, Gavin Reeder, Kaedence Sensano, Julian Simpson, Alahn McGrary, Michael Wagner, Eric Wills, Noah Theodore, Isaiah Payton, and Myron Billups. Other contributors: Khalis Hicks (48 yards) and two 2-pt conversions, Payton Sawyers (5 yards rushing) Isaiah Payton had 1 reception for 4 yards.

The defense was led by Payton Sawyers (7 solo tackles, 1 fumble recovery) Alahn McGray (6 solo tackles, 1 fumble recovery), Eric Wills (5 solo tackles) Hunter Bagley, Noah Theodore, Isaiah Payton and Khalis Hicks (3 solo tackles each). Chico Robinson added two additional touchdowns in the second half on runs of 70 and 28 yards. 

Khalis plays football with other second graders on the West Chester Outlaws.  The team won their game on October 13 by a score of 14-0.   The game summary provided in the local newspaper stated, 

The West Chester Outlaws 2nd Grade advance to playoffs with a win over Stallions. Hunter Bagley, Khalis Hicks, Eric Wills and Chico Robinson anchored the Outlaw defense with 2 sacks apiece and Noah Theodore 1 interception. Other contributors: Michael Wagner, Alahn McGray, Jaylen Hunter, Kaedance Sensano, Isaiah Payton, Julian Simpson, Gavin Reeder, Myron Billups and Payton Sawyers.  

Chico Robinson got the offense rolling and opened the second half with a 65-yard TD run. Khalis Hicks added another score on a 45-yard run with some great open field running. The Outlaws win 14-0.
